A Clinical Audit to Record and Monitor Cardiovascular Diseases

How we work

SURF is a blueprint to create a global scientific standard in cardiovascular risk management. Every completed SURF survey adds value to the quality of cardiovascular risk management. So, the impact and success of SURF is depending on the cooperation of qualified specialists in cardiovascular centres, research institutes, hospital departments, and other medical practices. They are the quality catalysts driving our SURF.

The new phase of SURF CHD, SURF CHD II, aims to connect with hundreds of cardiology centres worldwide. These coordinating centres are asked to contribute data on at least 50 coronary heart disease cases using the SURF CHD survey to monitor the recording and management of cardiovascular risk factors.

While the professional use of our surveys is growing, the SURF team is continuously striving to improve and extend their scope. In every aspect of the SURF audit system privacy is elementary. SURF is based on routinely collected data during a routine clinic visit. Anonymity is preserved. No patient details, such as name and address are recorded. There are no interventions or follow-ups.
